卑诗推出临时租金补助 4至6月每月最多500元

卑诗省政府宣布多项针对租住房屋省民补助措施，让在紧急状态下若无法负担租金人士亦不会面临迫迁。新的「临时租金补助」（Temporary Rental Supplement，TRS） 将提供每月最多500元，协助租客支付部分租金，同时确保房东能继续获得一部分租金收入。

省府曾于3月25日宣布，新冠肺炎（COVID-19）疫情期间必须停止所有迫迁。为支持于大流行期间蒙受收入损失的租客，「临时租金补助」计划将于4月底推出，合资格租客可于4月、5月及6月份获得租金补助。此补助是联邦政府及「卑诗工人紧急福利」（B.C. Emergency Benefit for Workers）的 1,000元津贴以外的额外财务援助。

此外，现有计划还包括「长者租客住宿援助」（Shelter Aid for Elderly Renters，SAFER） 及「租赁援助计划」（Rental Assistance Program，RAP），租赁援助计划详情可上网浏览。

鼓励租客先与房东商讨。

省府表示，设立租金援助是了协助租客在这紧急情况下支付租金，而于紧急状态结束后，租客需要为余下欠租负责。「没有经济困难的租客应该继续支付房租；我们鼓励有经济能力的租客尽可能支付租金，即使是部分租金。」

提供租赁房屋的人依赖租金支付他们的水电费、按揭及其他与租赁物业有关的账单。若租客不能支付全数租金或需要更多时间，省府则鼓励他们通知房东，以及申请补助及其他支援计划。

有意申请「临时租金补助」的人士应留意卑诗房屋局（BC Housing）的网站，了解申请资格、程序及其他步骤，这些资讯未来几周将于网站公布（www.bchousing.org/COVID-19）。

卑诗省政府鼓励租客及房东在疫症大流行期间尽力达至互惠的解决方案。若有个别问题，应联络住宅租务处（Residential Tenancy Branch）。因应新冠肺炎（COVID-19）危机作出的租务条例修改，可浏览卑诗省政府网页（www.gov.bc.ca/landlordtenant/COVID-19）。
