    1938
    The Ford Motor Company purchases the Silver family farm at Kingsway and Silver Avenue to develop a new Western Canada assembly plant.

    1988
    The Ford plant closes and is demolished to make way for a new retail and residential development – the future Station Square.

    2004
    Vancouver developers, Anthem Properties and Beedie Living, acquire Station Square.

    2008
    In collaboration with the City of Burnaby, the new owners conduct a series of design workshops.

    2009
    A concept plan for Station Square is presented to the City and public consultations begin.

    2010
    Anthem and Beedie organize a third design workshop and commence rezoning drawings for the development.

    2012
    The inaugural tower at 4688 Kingsway nearly sells out in a mere two days.

    2013
    Construction commences at 4688 Kingsway.

    2014
    The second and third towers at 4670 Assembly Way and 6098 Station Street sell out in record time.

    2015
    Station Square’s first homeowners are welcomed to 4688 Kingsway and the first retailers open their doors, while construction commences at 4670 Assembly Way and 6098 Station Street.

    2016
    Sales begin for Station Square’s highly anticipated third and final phase, while the community’s retail portfolio continues to grow.

    2021
    Station Square is the heart of Metrotown with 2,000 homes, 30,000 sq.ft. of restaurants, 300,000 sq.ft. of shops and services, and 150,000 sq.ft. of office space.
